‘What for you is a “dream life?”
Often we think about material things. What we would like to “get” that we think will make us feel happier.
But I am asking you to go deeper. How do you imagine your dream life will make you feel?
What is it that makes a dream life for you?
It is easy somehow to think that ‘once I have ….., or ‘once I achieve’ … I will be happier.
I say easy because then that takes away all responsibility for the choices we make NOW. Once we put something out there, it means we don’t need to look at our actions now.
It can remain as something out of reach. Something we dream about.
It also allows us to keep the idea we have of ourselves in this moment.
The narrative of our life that we have become so used too.
What do you imagine that life will give you?
We tend to search for something external to us to be the answer for our happiness.
How is it that you would like your dream life to make you feel? What do you imagine a dream life feels like?
Is it happiness? Freedom? Love?
What if it wasn’t something outside of yourself that could get you those feelings.
What if Achieving or Buying couldn’t get you those feelings? Or if it did, they would only be temporary.
That then it would start again, the “idea” of what will make you really happy.
Though there is a opportunity now in this life to find a happiness, freedom and love that cannot be taken from you.
But that is only available for you NOW. It is not something that you “get” in the future.
And when you are living your life from that space, one of the magical things about it is that it actually draws more experiences into your life that give you those feelings.
Step 1
So step 1 is to identify WHAT is it you imagine will having that dream life bring you? What feelings are you desiring?
Once you have found these out, the next step is to look into first of all why you want these feelings…
So for example if it is for feelings of achievement and worthiness, think about who it is that wants to feel worthy?
Is it your ego or is it your soul?
Ask yourself that question from a place of honesty. And listen.
We have an ego, and for that part of us there will never be enough.
Studies have been done with many millionaires who were asked if they felt rich. Most of them said no.
For your ego is created to seek. To look outside itself for satisfaction.
Though your soul IS satisfaction and freedom. There is nothing lacking.
Step 2
Is to now that you have found out how you would like to feel, is to go deeper into shifting your attention into all the experiences that already give you that.
And here we are taking of the SMALL things. The tiny daily things that give you that.
Shift your daily focus and your life WILL shift.
Step 3
And then Step 3 is an invitation to go even deeper… I ask you to start going inwards and listening to your soul.
To spend time every day in stillness. Putting your intention and attention into what is already there for you.
Freedom, peace, happiness, joy. It is all there for you.
And as I said at the beginning of this, it is easier to have a dream that is over there, that we will get “one day”. As then you do not need to look at your daily choices.
At first to change your focus is not easy, and that is why many people choose to stay in what they know.
But by changing your focus, little by little, day by day, your entire life can change.
And you can create the feelings you believe you will get from the eternal within yourself, and they are constant, reliable and here for you right NOW.
And then as your internal world shifts, you can watch as your external world shifts.
And this is a choice we all have.
Where we choose to focus our energy, intention and will.
And we get more of what we focus on, are you ready to choose a new way?
